Teaches students various art forms including vocals, dance, graphics, stained glass painting, and many, many more.

Eight-time Grammy winning Chaka Khan first became involved with the children of the World Literacy Crusade in 2001. She began the first “Art Club” in WLC’s Compton branch and has since opened another in Pinellas County, Florida. Chaka regularly visits her art clubs to see the work that the children are doing in the arts. The Compton Art Club meets once weekly and is headed by Chaka’s art assistant, Ms. Gloria McGhee, a long-time Compton resident and artist. The Pinellas County Art Club is directed by Jayne Anne Losito.
